Vice President
Dale is developing a community ministry in spiritual direction in the community of Baltimore, MD. With spouse, Martha Garland, he is developing his ministry as part of the work of the CreativeSpirit Healing Arts Center. An immediate challenge has been development of an endorsed relationship with First Unitarian Church of Baltimore. His practice includes use of a psycho-spiritual process of relationship focusing, based on the work of Dr. Eugene Gendlin and Dr. Ann Weiser Cornell. He recently retired as a hospice chaplain after 11 1/2 years as a hospice chaplain in Delaware, and 22 years as a United Methodist pastor in Ohio, Michigan, Maryland and Delaware. He was fellowshipped in 2002 in Quebec City. One of his major passions is developing the role of community ministry in the UUA. Dale is excited about working with SCM to articulate and strengthen the role of community ministry as an important expression of our faith and vision for the world!
