Serving as Parish Minister to the Olmsted Unitarian Universalist Congregation in North Olmsted, Ohio and the Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship of Erie County in Sandusky, Ohio. Formerly Community Minister Associated with the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Rev. Shelden worked as a Chaplain and ACPE Supervisory Candidate in Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for nine years.   During that time in addition to supervising CPE students Rev. Shelden's parish was the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  She also served as part of the Trauma Team and is trained to lead both Critical Incident Stress Debriefings/Management.  Rev. Shelden has lectured and conducted workshops widely on issues of Loss and Grief, with an emphasis on Children and Teens and Grief.  Due to her extensive training in teaching the art of pastoral care to both the laity and clergy, Rev. Shelden offers a two day training for parish Lay Pastoral Care Associates.  Rev. Shelden is the immediate past President of the OMD chapter of the UUMA and currently serves as Good Offices there as well as for SCM.
