| CENTER Tuesday Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown | UUMA Professional Days: CENTER workshop The mission and purpose of the Community Ministry Committee of the Mountain Desert District is to provide an accountability structure for fellowshipped clergy and to facilitate congregational participation and benefit from the skills, programs, and activities of UU community-based ministers. | GA Saturday Salt Palace Convention Center | General Assembly Workshop Revs. Cheryl Leshay, Michelle Walsh, and Connie Yost offer effective models for building sustainable and inheritable community-based ministries. Rev. Yost established a community ministry with at-risk youth with the support of a congregation in California; Rev. Leshay developed ministries as Affiliated Community Minister for Campus and Young Adult Ministries in Massachusetts; and Rev. Walsh is now working on a doctoral degree after serving with Boston UU Urban Ministry. Facilitator: Rev. Dale Lantz, UUSCM Vice President. |
